So for most people who work remotely and work for an organisation it’s likely that they will ( and they definitely should) provide you with your computer phones and other times. But what about those of us who work remotely? From home and have our own business.

Now investing in any laptop is going to cost you so it’s important that you do your due diligence especially when reading blogs like mine on the internet.
The reason I set this site up was to have a bull free zone where the products I recommend are actually those that are best in class. Trust me when I say I’ve been burnt several times before on other peoples recommendations so I wanted to set up a safe space for those of us who have the pleasure of working from a home office or working remotely.
Why do I recommend the Dell XPS 13?
Let’s break down the benefits of the Dell and why I feel as though this is the best on the market in 2020
A name you can trust
Dell are one of the oldest players in the computer industry as such they know exactly what they are doing.
On top of this they offer a warranty on their devices meaning that you can rest assured that you XPS 13 will last longer then the normal shelf life of most laptops.
The XPS brand
Similar to the point above Dell’s XPS are a league of their own when it comes to Laptop with the XPS brand regularly coming out on top year on year being in many best of categories for Laptops.
It’s super rare for most tech reporters to agree on the best devices and Dells XPS is doing so for a reason, they over equip the laptop to ensure no matter your profession or hobbies, the laptop will have you covered.
Damage resistant
Usually the higher up you go, the more delicate you have to be with tech.
Not so much with the XPS with the carbon fibre models in particular really being able to survive getting thrown around a fair bit. This also applied for the gorilla glass that the dell laptops come with.
Great display
One of the problems us remote workers have is that we stare at blue light for almost 8 hours per day.
Heck I know my vision has got visibly worse since working remotely. The good news is that the dell comes with built in blue light reduction, meaning your eyes can rest easy knowing your not causing any significant damage to them
Small but stylish
If your using a laptop every day the last thing you want is an ugly machine staring back at you. This isn’t the case with the XPS with the keys being soft to touch and the lightweight design really standing out for other generic boxes on the marketplace

Okay I saved the best till last, all the other benefits are cool but what about the nitty gritty, how powerful is the XPS 13? Well it comes with the following:

- 2 fans for even heat distribution
- 10 hour battery life
- 16 GB of Ram
Now if you’re anything like me, a lot of this sounds like technical mumbo jumbo to you but the basic gist of it is that the device is more then equipt for what any remote worker might want to do.
